You may have noticed the construction taking place at Los Chimas Mexican Restaurant at 112 N Main Street USA. Expanding the capacity was part of the owner’s bigger plan almost immediately. After seeing the success of the small flagship restaurant, they had secured ownership of the building next door early on, and after completing the opening of a second location in Brookfield, the Marceline renovation started earlier this spring.
From the outside, it’s easy to see that the building has doubled in size and has a newly designed entrance, but the true quality of the renovation can only be fully appreciated upon entering the establishment. The new south entrance opens into a large dining space with tall, airy ceilings and lots of table and booth dining and additional bar seating. Local artist, Brie Duey was commissioned to adorn the walls with a custom mural, capturing the modern-cultural vibe of the restaurant and its menu items.
Reserved seating for large parties and hosting celebrations at Los Chimas will now be a easier than ever before. It is a must-see dining experience for local residence and out-of-towners alike.
