Peanut Night is a Marceline tradition dating back almost 60 years! On the Saturday after Thanksgiving, downtown gears up for the holidays. Christmas decorations are in place; the community center hosts a craft show; retail stores are open all day and into the evening with holiday specials; the Chamber sells bags of peanuts with a prize in every bag, and Santa comes to town to turn on the Christmas lights and visit with girls and boys. It's small town charm at its best!
